Vasyl talks about the great tasks of ensuring the physical survival of members and employees, f. ex. by providing shelter, food, medicine, etc. to members who had to flee the war zones.

In addition, there is a lot of work on all the more common trade union tasks, such as lack of salary, closing of jobs, education and the rising prices of life necessities. These problems have obviously been intensified violently by the war. For example 460 schools, including technical schools, have been destroyed by bombardments.

Despite the current difficulties, it is also about the future. There is an urgency to get started on the rebuilding of the many destroyed homes. In just half a year, winter will be back with snow and biting cold.
